Welcome to Noa''s Ark Alpaca Farm Fiber Mill! We are a family run farm full service fiber mill, processing alpaca fiber,wool fleece other exotics. We began our wonderful journey and adopted the "alpaca life style" in 2012 with just 6 Huacaya Alpacas on 4 acres.
Any fiber with any signs of wool moths or something of the sort has the right to be removed from the premises and burned as it can be very damaging to a fiber processing mill. While we always do our best to process fibers into what a customer requests, sometimes, the fiber just doesn''t cooperate.
The fiber is sorted and "skirted", all unusable fiber is removed. The fiber is then sent to the mill to be washed, carded, spun into roving and then multiple rovings spun into yarn. It is then returned to us to be sold in our farm store.
Alpacas by Armstrong was created in 2003, probably as most other alpaca farms were love at first sight!
